My Approach to Mental Health
At Therapy with Manuëlle, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel understood. I work with high-achieving individuals, first-borns / adult children carrying lots of responsibilities, and those navigating family or cultural expectations, supporting you through anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is inclusive and reflective of the diverse experiences people bring, allowing our work together to be personalized, thoughtful, and tailored to your unique needs. For couples, I focus on communication, connection, and working through recurring patterns, helping you feel more clear, grounded, and confident in yourself.
My Vision
I believe that mental health care should be accessible, welcoming, and reflective of everyone’s unique background. Therapy should feel inclusive, supportive, and understandable, not intimidating. My goal is to help reduce stigma around mental health and make people feel comfortable reaching out for support.

Emmanuëlle Idisi-Okpoko, M.ACP, B.SC, B.A,
Welcome, and thank you for being here.
I’m Manuelle, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and I created this space for people who are used to being “the strong one” but are ready to feel supported too. As a first-born daughter from a Nigerian, faith-centered background, I understand the weight of expectations, identity, and trying to hold everything together while figuring yourself out. My own experience navigating ADHD also shapes how I show up in this work. My approach is warm, honest, and grounded in creating a space where you can be fully yourself. I’m passionate about making therapy feel accessible, culturally aware, and genuinely supportive.
Outside of therapy, you’ll likely find me spending time with my dog, learning new languages, or trying out new hobbies (and maybe not always finishing them)—little things that keep life interesting and remind me we’re all a work in progress.

My Education
My path to therapy was paved through years of operating in high-stress, high-stakes environments. With a Diploma in Paramedicine and professional experience as a Paramedic, I have a deep, firsthand understanding of how the body and mind process acute stress and crisis. This foundational work led me to pursue a Bachelor of Psychology and a Bachelor of Health Science, followed by my current Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
Today, as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) under clinical supervision, I translate that "frontline" experience into a grounded, calm therapeutic space. I don't just look at your thoughts; I look at your whole health. My approach is relational and depth-oriented, designed to help you move from a state of survival into a life of clarity and intention.
